Easter Sunday, April 12 only: Adults $10 off

For every $250 you spend with merchants or artisans during Marketplace Weekend, you will receive 2 FREE tickets to come back to the Faire during the 2009 season (a $50 value).
Offer does not apply to games, rides, food, beverage or the Renaissance Collection Stores. Special Receipts must be presented to receive tickets. More details available at the Faire. THIS WEEKEND ONLY.

Wine Tasting Bacchanal / Masquerade Celebration

Join us Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4pm in our Celebration Garden for wine tasting, grape stomping, grape tossing and other exciting games. Wine tasting is $15 per person, and games are free of charge and will be played in groups of four.

Enjoy a "Taste of the Faire" by strolling through the faire and having a sampling of wine at five taverns. At the Crown & Anchor Tavern, passes may be purchased for either the "Taste of the Faire" or the wine tasting event at the Celebration Garden. You may also purchase passes for the wine tasting in the Celebration Garden at the garden itself. Cost is $15 per person.

Show off your favorite mask or head wreath by joining us at 5:15 for the Bacchanal / Masquerade Parade. Gather at 5:00 near the Guild of St. Helena.


Sunday, May 3rd only: Military Appreciation Day

Fantasy Weekend and Costume Contest

The contest will be held from 11am - 1pm in the RenQuest Garden, on both Saturday and Sunday.


Saturday: Fantasy

Sunday: Historical
Characters of LegendAdult Nobility
Characters of LoreAdult Middle Class
FantasyAdult Peasant
ChildrenChildren's Division- Nobility, Middle Class or Peasant

Entry Requirements:
Historical costumes must represent the Elizabethan era: 1559-1603 AD. They should be made of natural, non-synthetic fabrics. Accessories such as jewelry, pouches, baskets, shoes, boots, hats, etc. must be appropriate to the period and the social class you are representing. Costumes for Character of Legend, Lore, and Fantasy may vary from these guidelines.

All the costumes must be worn by their designer/maker unless explicit approval is obtained in advance from the competition officials. The only exception to this is children's costumes. *You may enter a child's costume and still enter an adult costume.

Please note: This is an amateur competition. Full time professional costumers may not enter. Full time employees of Renaissance Entertainment Productions and their families are not permitted to enter the competition.

All participants in the costume contest are invited to join the 5:15 Costume Parade. Meet at the open space in front of Joust.

Queen's College' Workshops return

Enroll In The Queen's College! Classes return Final Weekend, May 16 & 17!

All classes are held at the Celebration Garden and all the tools and materials you need are provided. Costs are modest. Times vary from 15 minutes to 90 minutes. Workshops allow you to learn and practice, so you can take home a finished token or a sample of your work.
