Real Name: Horace Greely
Origin: Winn Parish, Lousiana
Jeanine Greely had prayed for a child all her 52 years.
The cries of a hungry infant woke her up one morning. Opening the door, she found a baby in swaddling tucked neatly inside a cardboard box. Her prayers answered, Horace Greely was raised with as much love as a woman could muster.
Day in and day out, Horace was held and sung to, rocked asleep and hand fed every meal. Horace never cried and he never wanted. His new mother always made sure he had what he needed, even if she had to go without herself. Horace knew only love and happiness.
On the morning of his 25th birthday, Horace awoke to find his mother's starved and lifeless body next to his giant crib. Hunger took over and Horace began to eat.
Several hunters stumbled across the house months later and noted the bones and carcasses of wild animals surrounding the crumbling home. The police confirmed not all the bones belonged to wildlife.
They tried to coax Horace out with food. Not a single officer survived.
That's when we found him and placed him in the care of Kandy.
Welcome home, baby.
