Every Faire Day

The Pub Crawl

Play the best beer game this side of 1599 at Bristol’s legendary Pub Crawl. Join the loud and lusty pub crawl crew, skip long lines as they personally amuse you along the village streets to several fine taverns and public houses. Try not to spill as you jiggle with merriment at the most bodacious songs, jests, jokes, stories and riddles the shire has to offer. Travel with your own bartender, for immediate service, and choose from more than 20 beers on tap or a delicious mead as you go. We also offer a gluten free cider. FOUR alcoholic drinks are included in the Pub Crawl – one at each pub.

The Pub Crawl departs at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays. The Pub Crawl departs at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. Every Pub Crawl costs $45 to party with us. Half the tickets for each crawl are available online, the other half are available for purchase on the day of the crawl on a first-come basis. Pub Crawl tickets purchased online must be redeemed at Guest Services between 10 a.m. – 12 noon, or the red RenQuest vardo between 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. to receive your wristband.

The Pub Crawl sells out quickly. Day-of tickets will be available at Guest Services until noon – then at the Red Wagon in the RenQuest camp until 2:30. We recommend online purchase before you arrive at Bristol to guarantee your spot. A ticket to the Pub Crawl does not include admission to The Bristol Renaissance Faire. You will need an admission ticket and a Pub Crawl ticket if you wish to join the Pub Crawl.

Must be 21 to participate (IDs will be checked for everyone). Children are not permitted on the Pub Crawl. Please drink responsibly, we like return customers!

Kids Quest

Hey kids! Kids’ Kingdom is divided as the princesses compete against each other for the honor of being in charge. They use their wits, their brawn, and their caring to prove who is the best fit. Are you strong like Shahrazade? Are you wise like Rapunzel? Are you compassionate like Penelope? Choose a side and help decide who gets to rule Kids’ Kingdom.The adventure is designed for children ages 4-10 and should last 20-30 minutes. The quest is $5 payable at the RenQuest Vardo, however, the adventure begins in Kids’ Kingdom at the Red Hobbity House. We ask parents accompany their child while they complete their quest. Sign up any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to quest at your own pace. Questing ends at 4:30 p.m.

Join Lord Mayor Arthur Trewilliger Brimm and his sister, Hattie, as they Open Wide the Gates to the 2017, 30th anniversary Bristol season!

Weekend 2, July 15 & 16

Salute to Uniforms & Scouts Weekend

Salute to Uniforms: Special Discount at the Box Office for Active and Veteran Military, Police, Fire Department, and EMT personnel with valid ID. Save $5.95 off adult single-day admission. No coupon needed. (We’d love to see your affiliated T-shirts!)

Scouts Weekend: ANY SCOUT (Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Spiral Scout) is welcome to participate. Leaders and scouts IN uniform receive a discount for their entire party – no coupon needed.

Adult Tickets (age 13+) $20.00

Child Tickets (age 5-12) $8.50 – limit 6 children per paying adult.

Stop at Guest Services to pick up a Scouts Weekend Passport filled with activities. Complete the printed number of activities to gain access to purchase a special Bristol Renaissance Faire patch! $5 per patch, $3 per rocker year patch.

Marketplace Bonus Ticket Weekend

Shop the wares of more than 175 merchants and artisans, spend $250 in a day, and then present your receipts at the Guest Services Gazebo to receive two complimentary tickets valid any day in 2017!
(Limit 2 tickets per adult customer. Excludes Box Office, games, rides, food, and beverage purchases.)

Weekend 4, July 29 & 30

NEW! RennCon™

Trying to decide whether to hit the faire or the con this weekend? Now, brand new for our 30th anniversary, you no longer have to choose! Join us on RennCon™, for our first ever celebration of cosplay in all its forms. Attend a panel, take in the scenery, and enjoy some very special surprises! Whether you draw your inspiration from the sci-fi scene, anime, comics, television, fairy tales, or anywhere else… we invite you to mingle with our 16th century townsfolk in the biggest costume party in Wisconsin.

Masquerade Costume Contest – Both Saturday and Sunday: Register at Guest Services anytime before 2 p.m. to receive your entry number. Mingle at the Maypole from 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. for anonymous judging. Be at the Globe Stage at 5:30 p.m. for a group photo – contestants sit in the first 5 rows. Semi-Finalists will be called to the stage for additional photos. The Champions of the Bristol Renaissance Faire’s Masquerade Costume Contest will be announced thereafter.

Children (12 & younger) Costume Contest: Both Saturday and Sunday, 12:30 p.m. be in the Bristol’s Kids Kingdom area. No need to pre-register for the Children’s Contest!

NEW – Steam Powered Giraffe concert! Steam Powered Giraffe, the singing musical automatons, arrive at the Bristol Renaissance Faire for RennCon™ Weekend! This quirky act combines comedic sketches, improvised android banter, and original music fused with multimedia visuals, billowing steam effects, and robot pantomime.

The robots perform Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. – Autographs at 8:00 p.m. Locations TBA.

Tickets to the Bristol Renaissance Faire include the concert, no additional ticket needed for Steam Powered Giraffe concert.

Weekend 5, August 5 & 6

Steampunk Invasion

We invite all our guests to dress up in your finest time-traveling attire. No matter which century you portray, we’re looking forward to celebrating a leap back (or forward) in time with you!

This weekend only: The return of the Absinthe Bar (near the Lord Mayor’s Forum Stage), and a special visit from the Green Fairy.

COSTUME CONTESTS

Children (12 & younger) Saturday and Sunday: 12:30 p.m. be in the Bristol’s Kids Kingdom area. No need to pre-register for the Children’s Contest!

Saturday: The Steampunk Promenade Costume Contest with Grand Prizes for the best man, woman and couple whose costume “put the Punk in Steampunk.” Register at Guest Services anytime before 2 p.m. to receive your entry number. Mingle at the Maypole from 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. for anonymous judging. Be at the Globe Stage at 5:30 p.m. for a group photo – contestants sit in the first 5 rows. Semi-Finalists will be called to the stage for additional photos. The Champions will be announced thereafter.

Sunday: The Marvelous Steampunk Accessory Contest with prizes for the  most epic accessories. Register at Guest Services anytime before 2 p.m. to receive your entry number. Mingle at the Maypole from 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. for anonymous judging. Be at the Globe Stage at 5:30 p.m. for a group photo – contestants sit in the first 5 rows. The winners will be announced after the group photo!

Celtic Weekend

Celtic Coloring Contest – for Adults!

Note: This contest is only for guests age 21+

Color your stress away and you could win tickets to return to the Faire in the 2017 season!

Three easy steps:

1. PRINT one of our designs from our website. (You may not submit original artwork.)

2. Color the design in your choice of medium. Digital images are not accepted.

3. Put your name, age, phone number and email address on the back of your masterpiece. Images without all the required information will not be accepted into the contest.

Bring your masterpiece to the Guest Services Gazebo before 3:30 on Saturday (August 12) or Sunday (August 13).  Images must be brought in person, on paper.  Winners are announced at 4:30 p.m.

Entries received on Saturday will only be judged for Saturday’s contest. Entries will not be returned to you. There is a separate contest on Sunday. You may enter up to one image each day.
